When times were good and banks were encouraging every homeowner to take out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd mortgages they had no problem keeping up with demand and weeding out most of the fraudsters.
A full doc mortgage could be had inside of 2 weeks.
But the process was more painful and emotionally draining than I could have ever imagined. The banks could do so much more to treat their customers that have applied for a modification in a respectful, professional manner. I realize not all the people I have spoken with at BOA are really as rude and crude as they sound. They are under a huge amount of pressure from upper management. I have been blessed with a very nice and knowledgeable Lady. Was told by my negot that it would take 45 days to be considered for HAMP. I explained that I was in imminent default a could not pay my next payment. The negot offered a 4 month forbearance (Partial Payment Agreement). The negot said the I ways to get money now would more than likely receive an in-house mod.
The agreement said no credit reporting and the possibility of a mod after the partial payment. They misposted my payments I paid in advance to be on time. I spent 2 hours on the phone getting them loans without a cosigner to properly post the funds and take off the late fees. I had it in writing that there would be no late fees.
Remember, the Forbearance is from BOA, and not a modifcation.
I lost my job in 2009, and best online loans instant approval have UI benefits but have been lucky enough to get contract work. Make sure you are prepared for the circus and losing of documents. I was told by the executive negot that it could take up to 45 days to get a trial package.
I was asked if it did not make a difference what type of program that I could get. The negot said that I would be put me in a partial payment agreement and request an in-house mod. I thought the negot was sincerly attempting to help me. My situation is I am self employed and have cash flow, just not what it use to be.

The auction sale date at the co courthouse loan provider steps is November 29!!! My question to you is this: Can I bail out MHA review and ask for other in house MOD? Thanks If you get approved and decide you want to negotiate the terms there are only two things that will happen. I tried to renegotiate and my 1st loan mod offer expired... The payment would have been fine if it included principal and taxes but the extra every month was not going to work!
I was going to be right back where I started in no time flat. I feel like they just offered me the crappiest loan mod possible because they knew they had to offer me something.
I am DONE with predatory terms and a loan mod that sets me up for failure seems pretty darn predatory to me!
The negotiator told me I was put into another program also and that at the end the funds would be added to the end of my loan. I reviewed the agreement and abided by it fulling making all payments a month in advance. I got Tax refund money and paid them back (early), and they still misposted and added fees. So, I called and demanded they connect me to the area that posts the payments. I sent in new documents once again and they confirmed they were recieved.
I was told they will look for a new program for me. If someone has hardship, why do loans without a cosigner they think anyone can make a balloon payment? Check your state laws, and see if they have mediation in your state. I will be praying for you and all the other troubled home owners. Also, on your forbearance was it written into your agreement that you would have a ballon payment or was this a surprise to you. Back in Dec 2008 I filed for chapt 13 bankruptcy because I fell behind in my first and second mortgage payments. Now after almost two years of paying into the bankruptcy, and wanting to get out of it I was advised to try and get a loan modification to include any arrears. My first packet of info requested from BOA was sent out in May 2010. I called every week for updates and made sure that all my doscuments were recieved and nothing else was needed. Each time I called, it was the same answer, we are still reviewing your packet. On one of my maintenance calls earlier this month, I was told to re-submit updated financials because the original ones are more than 90 days old. Today I call to get an update and I am told that I have to wait up to 120 days again to get any response because my first loan modification request was denied and the info that I just submitted started a new request.
